Originally a wedding planning business, Cherished Moments has been in business since October 2008.

Business owner, Melina Gingras, soon found that there was more demand for personalized crafts, not only for weddings but also for every day living.  As a result, Cherished Moments was expanded to needle crafts (knit and crochet), knit pattern design, sewing, and quilting.

Who We Are

Melina has been knitting for over 20 years, initially teaching herself how to knit as a child. After earning her MBA, Melina started Cherished Moments fulfilling a lifelong dream to own her own business and do something she loves at the same time.She enjoys designing items for her son, "Peanut", and making socks. 

If she's not knitting, Melina is keeping up with the latest trends, posting her latest designs and projects on this website, her blog, and the shop on Etsy.com.  You may also find her helping out her parents' bed and breakfast.

She enjoys teaching and will lend you a helping hand when you are stuck on a project.
